One of the most anticipated festivals of the year is right around the corner in Gordon County! The Sunflower Festival returns to Copper Creek Farm in Calhoun on Friday, June 10th. Get your Instagram captions ready now. The fields will be blossoming with thousands of sunflowers for you to frolic through and take pictures with. Here are some fun festival highlights you can look forward to this year. 

Sunflower Picking 

Get excited to take a stroll through Copper Creek Farm and pick out your favorite sunflowers! You can make your own special bouquet to display in your home or even gift to a friend. The yellow sunflowers are sure to brighten the day of whoever sees them. You’ll sound pretty cool when you tell guests that you picked them yourself in the fields!

Sunflower Selfies

There’s something about sunflowers that make for great selfies. If you need to freshen up your social media profiles, the obligatory Sunflower Festival photo is sure to brighten up your feed. Everyone loves seeing pictures of sunflowers and they never get old! Whether you take a picture for the family Christmas card or a funny shot with friends, the photo is guaranteed to be a winner.

Family-Friendly Activities 

The list of activities is as long as the many rows of sunflowers at Copper Creek Farm! There are 25 activities to try and all of them are included with the price of admission ($17.76 plus tax). Start off your day with a classic wagon hayride and then stop in to see an animated chicken show, watch the pig races or pet the animals at the petting barn. Don’t forget to stop by the honey bee barn, barnloft slide or the duck races to race your own rubber duckies. If you’re looking for some extra excitement, check out the monster watermelon cannon or even take a ride on the mechanical bull!

There’s nothing like fresh-squeezed lemonade on a hot summer day! Copper Creek Farm also sells homemade ice cream, using only the freshest ingredients.
