From the corn maze to the pumpkin patch and mechanical bull, there are tons of ways to get creative with shots. The farm is also offering a $100 reward this year if you can snag a photo with the mysterious Bigfoot! Bringing in tourists year-round because of its whimsical appeal, autumn is one of the best times to visit The Rock Garden. The garden is filled with more than 50 miniature castles, churches and other structures made from pebbles, shells, broken glass and more. The changing colors of the trees and the approaching Halloween holiday make this an especially mystical experience worthy of a snapshot.

You can even get a photograph in front of a miniature version of one of your favorite real-life structures. The Rock Garden has small versions of The Colosseum, The Japanese Himeji Castle and the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Pick your favorite structure and strike a pose for a magical shot that will remind you of being transported into a fairyland.

For all of your traditional fall nature shots, John’s Mountain will exceed expectations. You’ll get in a great workout and keep your Instagram followers supplied with plenty of leaf peeping photos. Hike along John’s Mountain Trail for beautiful mountain views, including an unbeatable shot at the summit. The weather is just right this time of year, so you won’t work up too much of a sweat.

John’s Mountain also has The Keown Falls Trail, which is home to two waterfalls. They’re an impressive site to see in person, so go with the flow and take in the scenic beauty after you snap your fall photos.

For those who embrace all things spooky and scary, 7th Gate Haunted House will not disappoint. Although new in town, this house is the scariest thing Gordon County has ever seen! The 7th Gate crew operates out of the Old Oostanaula School House, which is rumored to be haunted in real life. Taking a picture in front of the house itself at night is sure to spur a few goosebumps. If you really want a Halloween photograph, get a shot with one of the crew members! Their costumes are unbelievably real, creepy and sure to get a reaction on social media.

Bring out the flannels and warm boots, it’s time to take some classic autumn pictures. Gordon County’s fall spots will have your Instagram feed looking festive and unique. Make sure to plan your poses ahead of time to add extra personality to your shots. Cheers to a season of pumpkin-spiced everything and the best fall photos ever!
