Huge Laser Show and Fireworks After Dark

This year will feature a huge laser light show following the concerts and before fireworks. Crowds are encouraged to come inside the fairgrounds to enjoy the venue up close and personal. The laser show and fireworks show is designed to provide the highest level of entertainment to crowds inside the fairgrounds. Those watching from a distance will not get the full effects of the amazing free event.

In addition to the music provided by Jess Kellie Adams & Band and Hooch Holler, kids and adults alike will enjoy shows of magic and illusion by Mike Frisbee throughout the evening on the Midway Stage.

Fabulous fair foods will be offered for the event and vendors will shine with several offerings.

Bud Owens, organizer of this event since it’s beginning, states that admission is FREE thanks to presenting sponsor Mohawk. Owens states, “I am so excited that Mohawk has agreed to continue sponsoring the Star Spangled Celebration. We are prepared to have a safe and fun event for the entire family with magic & illusion, amazing concerts, vendors, a laser show and fireworks that will end the evening and ring in the Summer season. I invite everyone to come out, come early, bring your chairs and blankets and let’s celebrate our Independence Calhoun style”.

The venue will have three parking lots open beginning at 4:30 pm with gates opening at 5:00. The best view of the fireworks is inside the fair grounds.

Coolers are welcome but subject to being checked at entry and the venue remains alcohol free and family focused.
